Happy Summer Solstice

We have some exciting news to share. In May we received a grant from the Michigan Humanities Council to bring Water Rising to the upper peninsula of Michigan in partnership with the Cedar Tree Institute. For the month of October, an exhibition of watercolors from the book, along with poems and the video installation will be on view at the Marquette Arts & Culture Center. On October 15th, we travel to Marquette to give a week of talks and workshops for the UP community and for the Northern Michigan University School of Art and Design.

Our film, “Environment, Memory & Things” has been accepted to the Fresh Coast Film Festival which runs Oct 17 – 21 in Marquette.

We are looking forward to visiting the gorgeous UP. We hope we can contribute to awareness about the environmental challenges now facing the Great Lakes.

This fall, all proceeds from book sales / broadsheets will be donated to support Superior Watershed Partnership & and Land Trust.

Throughout the summer proceeds from book sales will continue to be donated to Shark Research Institute, Princeton, New Jersey. If you haven't done so already, please consider asking your library to purchase a copy of Water Rising, or donate one. Every bit helps.
